SoulCollage journaling

Intuitive journaling with your cards

Once you've created several SoulCollage® cards, a world of possibilities opens up for how to engage with them further. One way to deepen this practice is through SoulCollage® journaling: a form of writing where you use your cards as a starting point for self-reflection, personal growth, and intuitive work.

SoulCollage® cards are not just creative collages, but also a powerful tool to connect with your inner self. Many people use their cards as a source of inspiration, for meditation, or as a daily check-in with themselves.

SoulCollage® journaling

For example, you can use your cards as a type of oracle to guide your day. You can also use SoulCollage® for journaling, creative writing exercises, or to gain insight into a current issue in your life. By regularly working with your cards, you'll learn to understand the images better, leading to a deeper understanding of what they want to show you.

A SoulCollage® writing exercise with multiple cards

A wonderful way to work with your SoulCollage® cards is through an intuitive writing exercise. For example, choose five cards. This can be random, by drawing them blindly, or you can purposefully select them based on theme, color, emotion, or anything else that spontaneously comes to mind. Trust your intuition; often your hand already knows which card is meaningful at that moment.

Lay the cards out next to each other and first take some time to calmly observe them. What do you notice? Which card first catches your attention? Does a sequence or movement emerge between the images?

Then, intuitively write a story about what the cards, from beginning to end, have to say to each other. Let your imagination run free and try not to steer the process. It's not about a beautiful or logical story, but about what wants to be told through you via the images.

Perhaps you'll discover surprising connections, new insights, or a message that helps you move forward right now. Sometimes a story emerges that touches on something deeply personal, sometimes a playful narrative that brings lightness. Everything is welcome; the cards often speak precisely where words do not yet come easily.
